Well, that didn't take long :( I have a collection of 570+ maps all generated from the Australian Natmaps 250K series. That's a lot of maps and on the PalmOS version I had split them into four groups in separate folders and selected which of the four to use at any one time. This new Android version ...

Initial feedback

I haven't even started using it yet, but I've already run into trouble! Some initial feedback as a first-time Android user (but long time PalmOS and WinCE user): The QR barcode on the following page references "PW4" instead of "PW5": http://pathaway.com/dlpw5expandroid/ The top five navigation links...

Do you mean "Store the Geotag information in the photo itself"? Yes. I know it's possible to export a track as GPX and use that in another program to geotag photos by syncing with timestamps, however that's an extra step and requires accurate and synchronized clocks. Even being a minute out can occ...

Learn Hardware Keys

I have a Motorola MC70 and none of the special function keys are recognized by PathAway as a hardware key, and therefore I cannot assign a function to them. It would be great if PathAway could listen for key presses and learn new key codes to trigger functions. Ultimately I'd like to take a photo an...

Geocode point photos

While it seems like PA for the Palm is now "abandonware", it can't hurt to ask... PA currently allows creation of points with an associated photo ("Capture"), if the Palm has a camera. What I would like is to have the photo geotagged - i.e. have the point latitude, longitude and altitude embedded in...

I take back the implication that PathAway was responsible for my SD card going AWOL. Seems to have been some corruption elsewhere - nothing that affected PathAway files, though. Still, the issue with the ticks not doing anything in the Options > Folders form remains. BTW, "Delete" sounds awfully per...

Thanks for replying, Scott. I do recognize I have a difficult number of files, but I never got the message until I upgraded from 4.00.46. Now maybe the problem was always there and it's the error message that's new? Now that I've split my maps into multiple folders, should I be able to untick folder...

I've been able to narrow it down to the total number of files (maps, tracks, and routes) across all the PathAway folders. 333 files are OK, 334 raise the error. I tested on a Palm Treo 650 simulator, since that was much faster and easier to work with that my real Treo. It should also mean that it's ...

I seem to be talking to myself :(

I guess that means nobody else is suffering from this problem?

Hmmm. It's nearly four months on, 4.00.66 has just been released, and these two issues are still present. :( Now, it may just be a coincidence, but on one occasion I noticed that my saved and unsaved preferences had been corrupted immediately after running PathAway. Maybe related to the "Out of Memo...

I have 573 maps totalling 2GB, but all in the one folder. I've also been getting this same error message. It started when I upgraded from a 4.00.4x to a 4.00.5x, but I can't remember the exact versions. I've posted about it before, but got no response. Maybe this time...

Out of Memory error on exit

I'm using 4.00.60 on my Treo 650 and I'm getting this message every time I exit. It's annoying, plus I suspect a link between it and my losing saved&unsaved preferences. It happened in 4.00.57 too. Are the older versions still available somewhere? I'm pretty sure I was using 4.00.46 before I "up...

Out of Memory, Powering Off

I've just upgraded from 4.00.46 to 4.00.57 and now have two issues. The first is an annoying "Out of Memory" error message every time I exit the application. So far there doesn't appear to be anything otherwise wrong. According to Resco Backup, I have about 6MB of dynamic memory free, and about 4MB ...

Weird map dragging problem

I've scanned in a map of Australia (it's copyrighted, so I won't post it, I can PM a link). It uses some sort of projection I can't identify, so I attempted to use custom point calibration. The points I ended up with were placed: +----------+ 1 2 | | 5 6 | | 7 8 | | 3 4 +----------+ I've also tried ...
