Map calibration

Will you introduce map calibration into iOS like it used to be on Windows Mobile? I have a map that is slightly off, and it is a pity that I cannot correct this on the spot. After I returned home and attempted to correct it, I did not succeed, and because it is in a different country, it will take a...

Not in the current versions. We will likely be adding support for future PathAway versions on iOS.

Please keep this in mind. I have made a set of different mushroom icons that I put at important places where I have found the mushrooms. It is a pity that I cannot use them on the iPhone.

Does Pathaway on iPhone support user-designed icons?

I have designed a number of icons for Pathaway on Windows mobile that I would like to transfer to the iPhone. Is this possible?

PinPoint is for improving the accuracy of a point by taking multiple samples from the GPS and averaging them to come up with a more accurate location. You should remain still while capturing the samples. The number of samples taken is determined by the "Samples" count. The default is 32. Thank you!...

We have not yet found any problems with the software that could cause this. Please ensure that you have the latest Firmware update, and are running the latest version of PathAway. I have both. Fortunately, I have established how I can live with this, and I fully realise how difficult it is to test ...

Re: Problems with Pathaway 5 and Samsung Omnia

When I touch the GPS-Symbol ( switch it off) and switch it on again the device crashes and I have to reset it. I have an HTC P3470 and I do not have your problems, but I do have this phenomenon of a crash if I switch the GPS off and on via the GPS symbol. First of all, the GPS is not switched off w...

New facts have appeared :) Apparently I do not have this particular problem any more! This weekend I opened PathAway again and routinely changed the options to my liking, but later, after having closed the program, as I wanted to do it again, the options had not got reset to the default! I have no i...

Hi, I tried all of these settings and they are retaining their settings for me when I exit and restart the program. Strange. Are you exiting via the main menu "Exit" command? I am using version 5.20 Yes, I am exiting with the "Exit" command. My version is 5.20.69. We will probably have to leave thi...

Whoops, I placed this in the wrong forum. Please move it to the Pathaway Standard Edition forum. I have no idea how Pinpoint is described in the Pro manual.

Sorry for the confusion.

What is Pinpoint?

When editing a point, there is a button called "Pinpoint..." on the Location tab. What is the function of the button? It is not mentioned in the manual. There is also a box called "Samples" that in my case always shows "32". I believe it has some kind of connection with pinpointing, but I do not kno...

How to save options?

On my Pathaway GPS 5 on Windows mobile 6.1, I seem to have trouble saving certain options. I would prefer not to show the active track, but this is on every time I start the program and switch the GPS on. I would also prefer not to get an alarm on proximity to a point, but this is also always switch...

Problems with nudge calibration

I think I have got the general hang of nudge calibration after a lot of trial and error. I have Pathaway GPS 5 Standard, and the manual does not describe a number of the buttons, or at least not very well. The four left-hand buttons with arrows seem to move the position grid on the map without disto...

What is calibration with two points?

I have difficulty understanding the concept of calibration with two known points (top-left and bottom-right). The manual is rather sparse on the subject. Does it mean I will have to define the two corner points and find their coordinates somehow? What happens if I choose two other points? Will I be ...

Thank you. I did not realise this. It makes sense.

It also explains why you allow the cursor, or the center of the screen to move to the edge of the map, or even beyond.
