FIXED: 4.00.48 Add Folder Problem

I downloaded and installed PathAway 4.00.48 yesterday. (According to the download page, there was no change - The build was only for sync. It appears a problem was introduced.) As usual, whenever I upgrade to a newer version of PathAway, I normally have to re-enter my map/point/route folders via "Op...

Filemon crashes? Wow, I've been using it for ages on dozens of different systems & never seen it crash... What operating system are you running?

My installation of MapAway looks for that DLL in the same directory where MapAway itself is installed. (In my case, running Win XP, it's in C:\Program Files\Mapaway) If you ensure the DLL exists there, from what I can see, MapAway should find it... If it doesn't find it there, your best bet is to us...

Hmmm. Maybe a Treo issue? I just tried to duplicate what you've described on my Palm TX and tapping the Connect/Disconnect button (I assume you mean the little icon shaped like a satellite dish?) works as advertised - If my GPS is turned off, pressing the icon pops up the new trip dialog, I clear th...

WooHoo! Nice job, as always Scott.

I just downloaded 4.00.46, switched on my BT GPS and *poof*, all appears to be working as designed. Menus are once again accessible and usable.

Thanks for attending so quickly to this issue!

Hey Scott - Any progress on this one? I'm waiting for a fix as PathAway really can't be used at all with this issue (for those of us using bluetooth - likely the majority...), and unfortunately, I no longer have my copy of 4.00.43 to revert to... I need my geocaching fix!! <LOL> Thanks, Dodger

Holy cow Hymie, I hope you're ok?! Ok, I did some experimentation, and at least on my Palm TX, the problem is completely 100% repeatable. It ONLY occurs for me whenever I am actually connected to my GPS via Bluetooth. As soon as I disable the connection (by tapping the little satellite dish icon in ...

PetraB:

Does StitchMap automatically output the required calibration details for the maps generated? In what format? (For example, is there a function to output the long/lat of the top left and bottom right corners of the resulting "stitched-together" map or something like that?)

Funny that you should have brought this up - I re-installed Pathaway 4.00.44 after cleaning up my TX and what do you know - I'm now having the identical problem that you describe! I'm not positive, but it may be related to whether or not the graffitti area is displayed or not. The problem is exactly...

I'm not sure about Spain or the US, but here in Canada, I use a GlobalSat BT339 (also known as the "iTrek M3) and it works like a charm. Very similar is the Globalsat BT338 - I know a few people using them and they are quite happy with them as well. I'm not using a T3, I'm using a Palm TX but my und...

Depending on how much 3rd party software you have installed, perhaps a hard reset & a re-install might be in order. I was having some hot-sync problems recently & decided, for the first time ever, to do a hard-reset. I backed everything up first, reset to factory, then re-installed my apps o...

If it does turn out to be your "alternate Home button app", the one I am using can be found here: http://www.mobile-stream.com/demos/txhmbtn.zip . It's free, and adds a Home button to your status bar that replaces the "Find" button rather than adding a new button. Tapping the home button twice repli...

I think this may have been another program you're thinking of - I've been using PathAway since back in the 3.x versions & unless I've missed what would be a very nice feature, I've always just seen the "end of the world" at map edges until the map edge actually passes over the cursor & switc...

Well, I just tried it... Regardless of how I opened the menus, they functioned perfectly. Tapping the menu icon at the bottom brought up the menu as expected, then I could either select the option I wanted by tapping or by using the 4-way to scroll through and the center-button to select. Is there p...

Hymie: What happens if you open the menu by tapping the top left corner instead of using the menu button? Does it do the same? I'm also using PA on a TX with bluetooth (BT339) and hadn't noticed that problem. l pretty much always open the menu by tapping the upper left... I will try it your way &...
