Postby Gerhard » Sat Feb 13, 2010 1:54 pm

Dear Scott!
Is that improved Map-manager with BSB-import also available for "Good old Palm-users"? If yes how do I download it?Does the import of a BSB-chart create a calibrated map?
Thanks for the support.....

Yes, the new Map Manager with BSB support will also work with PalmOS.
Download it at http://www.pathaway.com/apps5tools/MTec ... nstall.exe

..Thank you for the fast response!

I downloaded and tested the new MM and it seem to work well for the most BSB-charts;but at some I get the error-message:"Could not add the map-image of the file because file is an unknown picture-format".I could send you an example to check that...
However, finally a fine way to use BSB-charts!THank you!
I have a question saving that charts as .prc-file:in Fugawi all BSB-charts can be opened either in the datum WGS84 or in the custom datum. However, the origin source of that maps seem often to be a scanned papermap projected in custom datum; If I import it now into the MM the calibration-points are pinpointed exactly at the lat.-long-gridlines but the datum WGS84 is selected.I guess I have to change to the custom datum before I save the map as .prc to get correct positioned maps.Is that consideration ok?
Thank`s for the answer!
