OZI Maps ...

Postby tzi » Wed Aug 01, 2007 11:10 pm

Hi!

I have a bunch of map sets which consists of:

a.) map and ozf2 files
b.) map and jpg files

How to convert them to PathWay?

I tried the MapManager but I was unable to import the *.map file. Just gives me some of "the file is already in use" error...

(MapManager Version: 4.01.04)

Any hints? I need to convert hundreds of files so maybe some batch solution?

TIA!

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

I used several days ago very successfully the freeware program
OziMapConverter for maps of your category b.).
The maps I downloaded before with GoogleMV.
Conversion took a long time but the result is good.
You can convert single maps or all maps in a directory too.

Hope this information is helpful.

Hi!

I was able to convert ozf2 to jpg by using this software:
SmartCom OGF2 converter

Freeware, works like a charm :-)

Then using the freeware "OziMapConverter" the maps can be converted to PA.

I wonder that the PRC files for PA are twice to three times larger then OZF2? Any hints what todo? ( I use "compress" and "8Bit" option in OziMapConverter)

TIA,Thomas
