Some newer Palm OS devices may crash when first connecting to the GPS. This is caused by a bug in the PalmOS 5.x for interrupt-based communications.
To workaround this problem:
- Go to GPS->Configure GPS dialog.
- Select the "Advanced" section.
- Turn "Timer Comm" ON.
GPS Communications should now work smoothly if the main settings (Protocol,Port, baud) are correct.
Note: Future builds after 4.00.63 will set Timer Comm on by default.
