FIXED: Garmin IMG Maps with WM 2003

Postby HolgerIssle » Mon Nov 17, 2008 10:01 pm

Hi Scott,

I am trying hard to get ANY Garmin map to display.
I use an Ipaq hx2750 with Win2003SE and PW5.0.20 pro, fresh install, with standard menu setting.

I tried maps from all over the place with no success.

The most interesting ones for me would be from OpenStreetMap - you can get a weekly update at http://openstreetmap.teddynetz.de/lates ... chland.tgz covering Germany and some miles around. Try to display any of these - I can't.

I thought I tap the PW symbol, options, maps, tap maps/vector maps, and select the one I consider. Then the position marker jumps to N&E0. Thats all.

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Holger

And these maps do not go also: http://www.wandern-saechsische-schweiz. ... karten.htm

Under Windows Mobile 6,1 these maps function excellently.

I thought I tap the PW symbol, options, maps, tap maps/vector maps, and select the one I consider. Then the position marker jumps to N&E0. Thats all.

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Heiko

You also need to press the command "Show" to center your position on the selected map.

I tried everything out.
I think, which is it a Windows Mobile 2003 problem.

With Command: "Show" the Cursor jumps on :Lat/Lon 00°000.000

Heiko
