The export of maps with QV6 does not work often. The PW.dll is faulty. Please fix this bug.

Sorry there was an error in QuoVadis6. not in PW5.
Pathaway for me is still the best program. I would like to work with it for a long time. It's great.
Best regards.

I am so frustrated, it does not stretch quite. It is totally unsatisfactory. Scott, please correct the error in the PW.dll. I'm still hopeful, but I will now also take into account alternative programs. Too bad, I'm otherwise very happy with PW. Sorry for my bad English, translated with Google.
Regards
Walter

I've tried reproducing the reported problem but have not yet found it. Can you post a map somewhere so I can download it and try it?

Hallo Scott,
It is the PW.dll in QuoVadis6. Different maps can not be exported with QV6 in prc files. The maps can not be downloaded. I bought it from different manufacturers. Example: http://www.quovadis-gps.de/OEsterreich- ... opo-QV-Map. It's really a problem between QV6 and PW5 dll, I think. Please contact Tom (QV6). He knows the problem.

Hi Scott,
I am an very old user of pathaway and want to stick with it.
But together with QV6 and Win 7 prof 64 bit, I suffer the same problems with export to pathaway.
Please care for that problem, I wouldn't like to leave pathway.

Hi Scott,
Is there any progress? I am angry about this error and the fact that it is not eliminated.
Slowly I lose the joy of PW5, because I need to export hours to come to a conclusion.
Therefore, once again I ask you to remove this bug.
You want to lose any customers yet, right? I use PW5 for WinMobil and
Android and I think about really, to change the program! Too bad, because
otherwise PW5 is a very good program for me..
regards
Walter

I've now done some extensive debugging on this issue. I've solved the problem with the DLL crashing, and added some memory management improvements. However, there are some issues with some memory fragmentation that may cause the conversion to fail for very large maps.
The new DLL has been submitted to Thomas at QuoVadis for his testing.

Scott, you're making me and many others a Christmas gift that makes us happy. I hope the test turns out well and the new DLL function properly. I thank you very much.
kind regards

Hi Scott,
It's still just as bad as before :( . It is horrible and it annoys me very much. Why does this not without abortion? Is there another easy way these cards in the PW format to convert?
Under these circumstances, I will not buy the professional edition for Android, which I'm waiting already.

I have to correct my opinion.

I am now able, the topographical map of Baden-Württemberg Leisure completely in 72 pages export with 13,250 x 13,250 pixels.
Even the export of the entire compass German Alpine worked.
When trying to export the entire map TOPO 25 Bavaria was then getting a crash. This card is already too large.
I then part of the south of Regensburg, and then exported to the northern part of 87 or 84 pages successfully.
Each tile size of 13250 x 13250 pixels. I've practiced 3 times without crashing with different resolutions.
Although it is troublesome to choose the area in QV6 because not the entire map can be displayed (it only goes up to 11% - a license problem I guess), but I can live if necessary.
Let's see how it behaves with the other cards. Hopefully not worse.
Regards
Walter

Hi Scott,
Work is yet? So it can not remain.
I still hope.
