Pretec Whanto SDIO GPS settings?

Postby atx » Wed Jul 05, 2006 6:07 am

How should I setup PathAway to recognize my Pretec SDIO GPS? What should be entered on "GPS Configure" screen?

- Protocol - NMEA or SDIO GPS?
- What "Port"? I have following available in "Port" combobox: "Cradle (8000)", "Infrared (8001)", "Wireless modem", "Infrared", "USB Console", "USB HotSync", "Serial 0", "Serial 1", "ser2"
- Does PathAway require iGolf's driver for this type of GPS, as Mapopolis does? You write on your page: "Direct support for SDIO GPS devices added", does it mean iGolf driver is not necessary?
- Any other settings I should make?

I am using Treo 600 with PalmOS v5.2.1. PathAway version is 4.0.0.39 EN demo.

Please let me know if you need more information, I will provide it promptly.

Thanks a lot,
Michal

Hi,
You only need to set the protocol to SDIO GPS.
Ignore all other settings.
And yes you need to install the driver from iGolf. PathAway works directly with this library (Its what we meant)
