Problems with PathAway 4 an ADAPT AD-750

Postby nix4fun » Thu Sep 14, 2006 5:12 pm

Hello Everyone,

im just testig PathAway 4 and i works really fine (when i got a connection  ). Unfortunately the connection to the GPS receiver has problems. My GPS Receiver is a ADAPT AD-750.
Settings in PathAway are
Protocol: NMEA
Port:COM7
Speed: 4800
N 8 1
Buffer: 12288

My Problem:
Mostly the first try to connect fails, nothing happens, PathAway runs into timeout and the flashing blue light (bluetooth activity) on the receiver went off. I have to powercycle the receiver. The next try to connect works in most cases. Somtimes a couple of disconnects and reconnets works fine. In other cases i had to powercycle my receiver often until i gort an established connection. If the connection then is established i have no problems. It seems to me, that PathAway sends anything to the receiver that leads to a hard hang on the receiver.
I also tried some other moving map software an navigation software and never had problems with the ADAPT.

Pherhaps anybody has an idea.

thanks and regards

Nick

You can try setting the protocol to NAVMAN-NMEA or Holux-NMEA. These settings work better with some devices.
