WAAS/EGNOS Satellite reception

Postby esbark » Mon Jan 08, 2007 3:35 pm

Has anybody any experience of how Pathaway deals with displaying Waas/Egnos corrected satellite information in "Satellite sky view" or "satellite info view"

I am using a serf iii waas/egnos enabled GPS mouse with my handheld in GB and wonder what I should be seeing ( if anything).

Regards

I think to remember from sailing last year:There must be a little "d"("differential") in the signalstrength-sign at the sattelite -sky screen -exact the same way Garmin-devices show.

wAAS EGNOS SATELLITE RECEPTION

Postby esbark » Fri Jan 26, 2007 7:01 pm

Thank you Gerhard.

I had twelve sats showing on sunday all with good signal strength, I also had an unrestricted view of the southern sky. I had no little ds and all of the sats were numbered below 30 so I guess that I cannot expect any help from egnos in Stoke-On-Trent.

Can anybody expand on that theory??
