Re: Waypoints on wrong position

Is it possible you have selected an area of the map when you choose "Add Point"? This overrides adding the location at the current GPS position.

Re: Exporting a Route

I'm not familiar with AMIDuOS, but to Export a Route:
- Go to Data-Routes
- Tap on the Route
- Choose Export then follow the options.
You can also export multiple routes by turning on "Select" at the bottom bar, check the routes to Export then press the Export button on the toolbar.

Re: cannot import Google KMZ map overlay

PathAway only supports the "Data" portions of kmz files. That is it will import any Points, Routes, or Tracks found in the kmz file. It will not import any embedded maps. For maps you need to either select the downloadable map you want from WebMaps, or import a custom PathAway map or unenc...

The latest version 6 of PathAway has moved this option to MAPS->Import (from Data->Import).
Sorry for the confusion. Docs are being updated.

I don't know the format they use but I would guess they're tile-based and may be the same format as PathAway since both use Google/OSM etc. Someone could likely write a converter fairly easily by just mimicking PathAway's folder and tile file naming format. PathAway caches its map tiles by default u...

You can't import the Komoot maps, but the routes you create can be imported to PathAway via their "Export to GPS Device" option. This will download a GPX file that you can import and use in PathAway. For route creation though, have you tried the new PathAway Route Designer? Now its much faster and e...

With KitKat (Android 4.4 or higher), Google has decided that it is a security breach for Apps to write to the External SD-Card. The only folder that PathAway is allowed to write to on the external card is its private location: These are: Express: /Android/Data/com.muskokatech.PathAwayExp/files/ Pro ...

Method 1 should've worked.
You can also just copy the maps into the <device storage>/PathAway folder and PathAway will automatically use them. The "Import" command just copies them there.

It's only the "Offlining WebMaps" feature that is not allowed.
The Google maps are still cached for offline use when you view them on the map.

Using your PathAway Account email instead of UID has been added to a pre-release build. I have not tested it yet but you're welcome to try it out. Build is at http://pathaway.com/prerelease5/android/PW5PRO.htm You will need to be logged into your PathAway account for the protected maps to load.

If you are using the version from PathAway.com using a UID license then you need a second license to use on another device. Note that now we have changed to an Account based license that allows you to login to the same account on 2 devices. Contact us if you want to switch your UID license to and ac...
