Can map manager take command line options rather than the gui?
If so what are the options?

You can do Map Conversion via the command line app PWMapConvert.exe. It can be downloaded at http://pathaway.com/convert.htm

Thanks Scott.
I've tried this in conjunction with a script I wrote that grabs a screen shot from memory-map and tl-br coords and arranges the command line for pwmapconvert, it works but the maps are way out of calibration, I did one using map manager and it is surprisingly accurate(within 20 metres) but very clunky, any ideas what might be going wrong?
If I can get it working right I'll post a link to it as it's a great one-click solution to creating on screen maps.
I havn't been skewing the maps at all but as they only cover 70Sq/Km each(screen size) it does not seem to make much difference.

hello,

such a script is a nice idea - until now I copy-paste-stitch-save-convert all my maps from webpages... not realy convenient.

I look forward as I have no clue how to write software. Yhx in advance.

Use VNC and you can define huge display, thus grabing the whole area in one shot. I did test it agains Google and other map sites, it work just fine and eliminate the need to deal with many maps, such as gluing...
