Map calibration using .TFW and .JGW world files

Postby hammy » Wed Feb 07, 2007 3:32 am

Are there any plans to provide support for TIF maps with .TFW world files or .JPG maps with .JGW world files? I'm a GIS user and like most other's in the GIS community have a huge collection of georeferenced TIF and JPG images. I'd love an easy way to import these images into Map Manager / Pathaway without having to go via a third calibration format such as .map or .jpr which I don't know much about.

Any feedback from Pathaway or any other users out there who have tackled this would be great!

Cheers

We plan to expand the import capabilities of PathAway Map Manager.
However, there are some powerful third-party programs such as Touratech-QV that can import these maps, and send directly into PathAway on your handheld. Check our links page at http://pathaway.com/links.htm for information on third-party programs that support PathAway format.

TTQV can read them but has no batch mode. A command line utility to process them in batch mode will be great
