Imported waypoints always have basic symbol

When importing a gpx file with waypoints, pathaway always give it the standard 'Point' symbol.
Example : in the gpx file the symbol format is <sym>Car</sym>.
Any idea what is wrong?

I did some tests with exporting and importing.
What I found is the difference in format of symbol naming.

When I export a waypoint database from Quovadis I get :

<gpx xmlns:xsi="" xmlns:xsd="" xsi:schemaLocation="" version="1.0" creator="QuoVadis" xmlns="">
<wpt lat="51.1347162658148" lon="2.74115324020386">

<desc />

When exporting the same symbol with Pathaway I get:

<gpx version="1.0"
creator="PathAway -"
<bounds minlat="0.00000000" minlon="2.74115300" maxlat="0.00000000" maxlon="2.74115300"/>
<wpt lat="51.13471603" lon="2.74115300"><ele> 1</ele>2038-01-19T03:14:07Z

Kinderboerderij De Lenspolder

Searching on internet shows that Garmin has given each symbol a number, page 28 of the next document

I’m looking for a way to try synchronize QuoVadis with Pathaway.
When importing the ‘in Pathaway exported waypoint-file’ the resulting symbol in Quovadis is also not right until you select in the symbol list : “WPsGarmin16”.
