PathAway Quick Tips - Track Up Navigation

Track Up Navigation.

New to PathAway 4 is the ability to rotate maps. You can rotate maps manually or automatically have PathAway rotate the map so the direction you are traveling in is always facing "up".

Manual Map Rotation

  1. To manually rotate a map, tap (and hold for Pocket PC) on the screen to bring up the context menu.
  2. Select Map Menu >
  3. Select Rotate Map >
  4. Choose North, South, East or West Up Display, or Rotate map in 90 degree increments.

Automatic Map Rotation

  1. While connected to your GPS, PathAway can rotate the map into the direction you are traveling. This means, the track you are following is always ahead of you. To turn this feature on, select the main menu item View > then choose Map Display...
  2. In the Map Display Dialog, turn on the item "Auto Track up when Connected". Press OK.
Note: You can also set Auto Track Up always, so the map is also rotated when you are not connected but have an active route set to follow.
  3. Now when you travel, your heading will always be towards the top of the screen. If you need to see the map North Up again, simply follow the Manual Map Rotation process above.
