PathAway 3.1 PalmOS - Pre-Release

PathAway Untested pre-releases are posted here for user testing purposes. The pre-release versions are regarded as unstable and may contain bugs and or usability issues. Once we are satisfied that a build is acceptable for general usage,on the main release download pages.

Please Backup your critical PathAway databases.

Ie. Go to your Palm Backup folder on your PC and copy all the PathAway database files to a separate folder. If your databases become corrupted you can do a hard reset on your Palm, Copy the saved data to the Backup folder and HotSync.

2. Install each PathAway for Palm OS component individually.
 

Option 1: PathAway for PalmOS Installers - Install Program for PathAway. WinMobile Executables Include: PathAway GPS 3.1, Projection Libs, Sample maps and data.
Windows Executables Include: PathAway Map Manager, PathAway Icon Manager, Manual (PDF), (updated with every build)

Dashboard

- New Dashboard info: Time to Next point, Time to next Turn.

GPS Configure

- Added "Auto Detect" baud rate. Turn on AUto Detect, and system will cycle through baud rates until if begins to receive a valid stream.
- Obscure options, Parity, Bits, Stop, and Timer Comm, moved to "Advanced" dialog.

Preferences

- In Preferences-Map Display, options to show/hide Line to Next Point, Line to Next Turn, Circle Next point and turn using Proximity distance parameters.
- Preferences-Alarms, Elevation warning.
- Preferences-Route. Can now set to "Follow Routes in Sequence". This means, you must Pass through the "Proximity Radius" of a point before the system will move on to target the next point. (otherwise, routing is targeted to the "Closest" next point in the route. This is useful if you're routing on a Grid where route points may cross (or come close to each other). You can also set the Target Advancement to "Manual", where you the route target will not change until you tell it to. You can do this through the GPS-Advance Route Target" command, or by modifying a hard key to perform the operation.
- Prefences-Points: Default naming is now "Prefix #".
- In Preferences-System, set the speed decimal precision, and units precision used for reporting distances.
- New Routing options allow you to do Manual Route advancement.
- Preferences-Hard Keys allows you to customize or disable the hard key buttons.
- Preferences-System control the precision of the buttons.

Context menu (click on map)
- Added Calculate Area of a Route or Track. Track or route must be set as Activated, or Follow.
