Introduction
You can now avoid the timely process of calibrating maps into their proper
latitude and longitude coordinates. By downloading maps from AeroPlanner.com,
you can convert pre-calibrated files directly into PathAway map manager. Simply
import charts you've downloaded, save the calibrated maps and send to your Handheld!
How To
Ensure you download and install the software from the download
page. More info is available in the PathAway user manuals.
Download map from AeroPlanner.com:
In your Internet browser, go to http://www.AeroPlanner.com.
Follow instructions there to create a chart chunk. For output format,
choose PathAway. For image type, choose JPeg.
Download the chart chunk zip file to your computer.
From your Computer:
Unzip the Chart files into a folder.
Run PathAway Map Manager.
Choose Maps-Import Map.
In files of type, choose Map Calibration Files.
Select the downloaded file with the .JPR extension. This
is the map calibration file.
Select Open. PathAway will convert the map into the proper
format.
For Palm Powered handhelds: Select File-Send Map to HotSync.
This will put the newly converted map into your HotSync folder.
Then, simply press the HotSync button to install the map
onto your Palm Powered handheld.
For Windows Mobile handhelds: Ensure ActiveSync is running
and connected to your PC, then, Select File-Send Map to Windows
Mobile. This will send your new map directly to your handheld.
Next time you run PathAway, the map will appear when you're positioned
over the map area. You can select the map manually, by opening the
Options-Maps menu, and selecting the map by name.
